The American Red Cross of Greater Indianapolis helps people prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies every day. Prevention is taught in schools, at public events and at speaking engagements. Preparations take place with training for CPR, first aid and more. Volunteers are called to the scene of emergencies to give food, clothing, shelter and comfort to all people who are affected by disasters.

When you think of the Red Cross, you probably think of disaster response. While the American Red Cross of Greater Indianapolis responds to hundreds of disasters each year, we are also active in the community in many other ways. The Greater Indianapolis Red Cross provides emergency communication and support to the Armed Forces, transportation to medical appointments, first aid at community events, youth education and more. Each of our services to the community is rooted in our mission to help people prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies.
