The Chateau Thomas Farmers Market, to be held on winery property at 6291 Cambridge Way, Plainfield will open May 7.

"Thisis going to be something totally new for that side of town," saidmarket master Erin Jones-Edds, who participates in other farmersmarkets with her Country Mouse City Mouse line of dips, spreads andbutters.

Themarket will run from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursdays. Jones-Edds said it willfeature "the cream of the crop" of local vendors -- "the ones youreally want to see."

Includedon the producer-only list are Good Life Farms (produce); Murphy Farm(eggs); My Dad's Sweet Corn; and Willowfield Lavender Farm.

Othervendors include Rene's Bakery, Daina's Petite Pies, Harvest Cafe andPierogi in a Pinch. The market will also feature local artisans,prepared food and live music.
